The original song kicks ass, and this is quite close. It sounds very MIDIish though... maybe with better instruments or something it'd stand out a little more.

I like it. Simple and catchy. I'm not much into trance.. I'd say it "lacks a little variety"? It can become a little repetitive.. but I like how you made those pauses, taking out the drum beat at some points.
When the piano came in I thought it'd change the rythm, but well.. I guess that didn't happen =/
Anyways, I think it's very nice, specially for a 1st try. Keep on trying, it may take some time getting used to it. Good job overall :)

..at least for my tastes. I won't detract much from the song just because I like the original's feel better. I like those stong organs, church bells and those sort of things which give the original song a tense and gothic feel.
Anyway, this calm version of the song isn't bad either. It's also one of my favorites and I too will remake it eventually XD I think this one is rather simple, but good for background music. Very nice overall =)

The other day, checking youtube I saw SonicKai had uploaded an extended version of this song (10 minutes) and I listened the whole way through :S
Did the same happen to you? Because this is not such a popular Sonic song, and it seems like some kind of a coincidence seeing it here a few days after.
Anyways, I like the work you've done. Simple but yet it melds well together. I don't like the delay of a particular instrument heard on the right (it's like the highest notes of an Harp or something)... but it's a minor thing. Keep it up!

I love FFIX, it's a game full of wonderful songs ^^
I think you have too much reverb maybe? That often causes buzzing sounds, depending on how strong reverb is, or how much instruments are affected by reverb.
Anyways, nice 1st orchestral try =)

Any reverb that's there is default on the instruments I selected. I definitely don't hear any buzzing of any sort, I mix on 5.1 and I know from experience that some of the stuff I do doesn't take well with some cheaper speakers, but if that's not the case I'm not sure what you hear.
FFIX is definitely my favorite FF game and I'll be practicing on more of it's songs for sure.
Thanks for the review, I may have to mix it differently, but I can't hear anything wrong myself. We'll see, practice makes perfect. ^_^

"One of the best original songs I've heard."
Very catchy and it has a nice feel to it. Great use of percussion and simple rythms.

This'll be playing as background music in your website? That's great! Although I think it may be a little too upbeat or energetic to use as a background music, but anyways the song kicks ass and yes.. this is your best take on this theme so far. Really polished ^^
